ULN2003 monolithic high voltage transistors
The ULN2003 is a monolithic high voltage and high current transistor arrangement. It consists of seven NPN Darlington transistor pairs that feature high-voltage outputs with a common-cathode clamp diode for switching inductive loads. The collector-current rating of a single Darlington pair is 500mA.
The Darlington pairs may be paralleled for higher current capability. Among the applications of the high voltage/high current Darlington transistor array, the principal uses are as relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED gas discharge), line drivers, and logic buffers.
The ULN2003 has a 2.7kW series base resistor for each Darlington pair for operation directly with TTL or 5V CMOS devices, and the micro-chip features 500mA rated collector current (single output) and high-voltage outputs: 50V, inputs compatible with various types of logic. Find more information on the high voltage/high current Darlington transistor array ULN2003 in the micro-chip’s datasheet (see orange box at the left).
